There are two different types of rainforest; temperate and tropical. The temperatures of tropical rainforests range from 22 degrees to 34 degrees Celsius. Tropical rainforests are found in tropical, neotropical and sub-tropical areas. These places can receive 80 to 400 inches of rain every year. Their tempuratures range from 22 to 34 degrees. They grow in mountains, lowlands, and areas near lakes and rivers near the equator. One interesting fact about tropical rainforests is that they have the same layers that temperate rainforest has. The tropical rainforest can get up to 1,016 of rain per year. If you want to see the tropical rainforest they are found in, Costa Rica, Southern Mexico (especially in areas containing Mayan ruins), Central America, the West Antilles, the Caribbean, and northern South America. If you can't afford to visit these tropical islands, you can visit The Rainforest Cafe, Located in Niagara Falls, Ontario or Yorkdale mall in Toronto off of highway! Temprate rainforests are rainforests found in North America other places such as Australia. Most Canadian rainforests are located in British Columbia. Within these rainforests, over 1500 different species can be found. There are about 2000 earthworms, 40,000 insects, 120,000 mites, 120,000,000 nematodes, and several million kinds of bacteria found in the soil. Their climate can be roughly 20 degrees or higher. The weather in temperate rainforests is quite interesting. Though it is almost always raining, the climate stays at a constant warm temperature. Temperate rainforests can be found in British Columbia, small parts of Ontario, Asia, small parts of Europe and in the Americas where the climate is cooler.
